Ashley Todd, Super Wingnut

As you may have heard, Ashley Todd, a McCain volunteer in Pennsylvania, was violently attacked and sexually assaulted by a black man, who later carved a backwards 'B' on her cheek, and explained that he was doing so because he was an enraged Barack Obama supporter and whitey better watch out and the shee-at was coming dowwwwn, muthafugger!!!! made up a silly and implausible story and later confessed that it was all a lie. Naturally, Ashley is blaming the one group most responsible for this heinous hoax:

"She just opened up and said she wanted to tell the truth," [Asst. police chief Maurita] Bryant said. "She was upset with the media for blowing this into a political firestorm."

Indeed. Shame on the biased liberal media for reporting on Republican Ashley's completely made-up crock of a story.

Finally! Going after the real enemy

A blogger working for a newspaper was attacked on Thursday while covering a Palin rally in North Carolina. It saddens me, deeply. On the other hand, who's to say that the attack wasn't in some way justified? After all, people are so darn angry out there about the Islamobamanazimedia, it really is understandable that a person would want to commit a crime by bravely assaulting a member of the press who was simply doing his job.

Debate spamming

Some unnamed McCain staffer was a pretty busy beaver last night, shooting emails out to all the very important blogs:

The Corner: A McCain Consultant Emails 'Obama looks bored and annoyed. Can’t he just be president already?' I see that too; not sure other people do.

InstaPundit: A reader from the McCain campaign emails: 'Obama looks bored and annoyed. Can’t he just be president already?'

Race42008: From an anonymous source: 'Obama looks bored and annoyed. Can’t he just be president already?'

It's pretty sad when your last resort is spamming wingnuts with lame, whiny snark. I'm curious whether these bloggers feel like suckers for having printed this Anonymouse? I would. Sounds like it was taken straight from a Maureen Dowd column -- which isn't a good thing.

Shorter David Brooks

I, for one, am looking forward to the glorious Republican Revolution of 2072.
