The George W. School of Readin' and Writin'

InstaPundit's sub-literate pool boy, Don Surber -- who may be an actual editorial writer at an actual newspaper -- unleashes this sparkling prose:

The purpose of a newspaper is to make money for its publisher.

For a while their (sic), Pinch Sulzberger understood this. He was nicknamed Pinch because that’s what he did with pennies. Then I guess he attended too many cocktail parties or whatever they have in Upper Manhattan — gallery openings? — and decided to use his newspaper to educated (sic) us dummies in America.

It's not quite "Is our children learning?" -- but it's pretty damn close.

Also, words of wisdom from Oct. 25 Surber: "Spelling counts."
