Why I changed my vote from "Franken" to "Lizard People"

Minn. Public Radio has some fun with challenged ballots in the Minn recount.

This press has a well-known bias against the space/time continuum

Glenn Reynolds writes:

IRAQ UPDATE: Baghdad Bridge of Death Becomes Bridge of Hope: "Sunnis and Shi'ites made an emotional reach across the sectarian divide on Tuesday, reopening a Baghdad bridge between the two communities closed since a 2005 stampede, the deadliest incident of the war. . . Sunni children from Adhamiya raced to see their Shi'ite friends in Kadhimiya. Women from the two communities met up on the bridge, kissing and hugging each other with joy." And this positive story is from Reuters. Now that the election's over, we may get more of those!

Yeah, why are we getting all this good news now? Why not last week? Moreover, it's very, very strange that the press does not own a DeLorean outfitted with a flux capacitor, which of course would have made it extremely easy to travel to the future and report -- prior to Election Day! -- on a bridge opening coordinated by the US and Iraqi officials; an opening that was not scheduled to occur until one week after Nov. 4. It's like they're in the tank for Big Physics.

A Classic of the Genre

Prof. Corncob, after a fifth of bourbon:

SO IF, AS SEEMS LIKELY, MCCAIN LOSES TOMORROW, people will be blaming him and Sarah Palin. But let me point out that the Republican Party has been exhibiting a bizarre death wish since 2005. And you can't blame either of them for that. . . .

Because, of course, neither of the candidates for the Republican Party are Republicans!!!!! Or something!!!!
