Palinizing Joe the Plumber
Glenn Reynolds rhapsodizes on Joe the Clown's excellent trip to the Holy Land:
I'd just say that the professionals who have been covering the mideast have set the bar for journalism pretty low.
And this is the exact gambit I would take! Ratchet down expectations so much that if Mr. Wurzelbacher isn't caught drooling in his falafel and/or somehow strings together one coherent sentence (Oh-for-the-trip so far, but there's still time!) you can deem the whole stunt an unqualified success. Hey, it was almost good enough for the Governor of Alaska, maybe it'll be good enough for PJ Media's freshly minted Senior Middle East Correspondent.
